Hi, I’m Lori Carbonneau, pen name Lori Swick.

I live in Michigan with my husband David and of course, Bear. I have a Master of Arts degree in teaching and taught high school for many years. I have been a Realtor since 1998 and since 2006 I have been running my own real estate company. In 2014, I semi-retired from real estate, started writing, and then became a certified life coach. (Hmm, I guess teaching was in my blood all along.)

Because Bear is such a funny character, I found it easy to write about him. And since I always loved reading to my son when he was a child, and now reading to my grandson, it only seemed natural to write a children’s book. To me, there is nothing more delightful than snuggling with a little one and watching their face as they anticipate the next page of a book.

I love mixed Golden Retrievers, traveling, swimming, kayaking, biking, and gardening. I also love making strawberry preserves from our own strawberries. Yummy!
